Yes, we finally got out of Lima and to Trujillo this morning by bus. It was a long and hard journey, especially for Christian.
After our Barranco tour on Friday Christian got really sick on Saturday morning which was supposed to be our last day in Lima. Some kind of food poisoning or intestinal flu hit him really hard. So we decided to stay longer, first a day and then it became three more days to really recover.
Which led to a change of our accomodation and some really relaxed time in bed. But we also got a chance to see a very nice park in Lima before we hit the road: Parque de la Reserva, with el Circuito Mágico del Agua (a “Magic Water Tour” with fountains all over the park). ⛲
We will be a bit more careful with the local food, especially the raw kind. But have I said that Ceviche was amazing in Lima. 😅
So a bit off to a rough start but luckily we made it and the adventure continues in Trujillo!
