Heading further East to the Yucatán peninsula, our next stop was another Pueblo Mágico, Bacalar.
As the rest of Quintana Roo, the Mexican East coast, is quite touristy and busy, Bacalar is relatively quiet and tranquil. It’s a small town located at a lake, known as the “lake of seven colors” due to the different shades of the water.

The crystal clear lake spreads out into the distance and make it seems like the Carribean Sea. It is the second largest freshwater lake in Mexico and invites you to a relaxing time. 🌅
After some exploring and touring around in Palenque and Calakmul it was a nice place for a short rest and just enjoying some beers at the lake. 😎🍻
