Up the coast into nowhere

After some hot days in Cartagena it was time to escape the city and really get to know the caribbean flair. The suggestions from our new colombian friends took us to a small town called Palomino. By bus it was around 6 hours to get there. Still feeling a bit tired from all the sightseeing in Peru our goal was to really relax and do nothing for the next 4 days. And that was what we did… πŸ˜…

Palomino is off the beaten track and doesn’t offer much to do. We were hoping to enjoy the beach but the stormy sea nearly washed all the beach away. πŸ˜₯ Luckily next to the beach was also where the river Rio Palomino ended. So we could enjoy a little bit of swimming in there. Christian of course also jumped fiercely into the wild ocean. 😁

Besides that we also loved the small bars at the oceanside. Of course we had to get some cocktails watching the sunset! At night we were trying to escape the mosquitos by jumping into the local nightlife. We even tried to dance a bit of salsa but mostly just enjoyed the cold beers. πŸ˜…πŸ»

So basically the caribbean lifestyle caught us quite fast and our travelling got into a completely new direction! Less sightseeing, more just beeing there… πŸ˜…πŸ˜
